Verna and Peter Dauterive Hall (VPD), 203
635 Downey Way, Los Angeles, CA 90089

Los Angeles is facing an unprecedented transformational opportunity. With competing mobility options, changing land use patterns and shifting individual preferences for how to move about the city, Metro’s role in communities is more important than ever. Hear about the multi-modal approach that Metro is undertaking to provide Angelenos with more mobility options.

Laura Cornejo is the Deputy Executive Officer (DEO) of Countywide Planning for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). Under her leadership, Metro’s Active Transportation program has grown significantly, including the launch of a countywide bike share program, the first in North America to be integrated with transit.  Recently, Laura returned to the Transit Corridor unit where she oversees a number of Measure M funded planning efforts to expand Metro’s rail network.
