Me too! What about YOU? In Positivity & Persisterhood with Professor Sherry Blair
Wednesday, December 5, 2018 12pm to 1pm
About this Event
Free EventJoin USC Women and Management for a online professional development workshop led by Sherry Blair, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Social Change & Innovation, USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 12pm-1pm PT.
Women have been fighting oppression for decades under the umbrella of a patriarchal culture both in the private and public sectors. Only until we truly empower ourselves individually, will we be able to deal with, be honest about and overcome the many obstacles at home, in the workplace and in society. Increasing the positivity in your life, at home, work and play, will give you the internal strength to persevere and move ahead toward success to achieve your goals. Positivity is more than just feeling happy, but rather is a way to increase our overall well-being.
In this workshop, you will learn about maximizing your potential through positive psychology, define who you are, and empower yourself to move forward to crash through glass ceilings and social barriers that have oppressed women for far too long.
If we fail to care for ourselves, say no, have strong boundaries, effectively communicate, and increase our well-being, then we fail at optimizing ourselves to be the best we can be.
This event is FREE for WIM members, $10 for non-members.
Please make sure to “BOOK NOW” to reserve your spot and to receive an Adobe Connect link before the event.
