Title: Periodic orbits of vector fields in three dimensions
Abstract: When does a vector field on a three-dimensional manifold have a periodic orbit? How many periodic orbits are there? What can one say about their properties? We will review some history of this question, leading up to some strong recent results on Reeb vector fields in three dimensions.
