Live in the Annenberg Forum, Frances Haugen will share what led to her courageous decision to blow the whistle on Facebook’s prioritizing profit over public safety, and the role communication played in making sure her voice resonated with the public and policymakers on both sides of the aisle. The former Facebook employee and tech advocate will also discuss with USC Annenberg Dean Willow Bay and founder and CEO of Common Sense Media Jim Steyer the need for accountability and transparency in social media, misinformation in the digital age, and the future of technology.
This event will include an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
Presented by the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in collaboration with Common Sense Media.
