A conversation with Shona Pinnock, Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion at Louis Vuitton Americas.

As the VP of D&I she was the inaugural Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for publishing giant Meredith Corporation. While there, Shona developed and executed a strategy aimed at positioning processes like recruitment and employee development through the lens of diversity and equity. She also implemented cultural competence programming to increase awareness of unconscious bias and provided strategies to leaders for more effective communication and engagement. Prior to Meredith, Shona led D&I for Consumer Reports. While there Consumer Reports increased their diversity recruitment by 26% raising the overall diversity for the company by 6 percent. For their efforts the Consumer Reports Diversity and Inclusion program was awarded by PRNews and DigiDay.

Shona, is an advocate for equality and social justice evidenced by her service in a variety of non-profit boards and charitable organizations, leveraging her skills in strategic planning, mentoring and professional development.

Shona is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. Her life’s motto is, ‘lead by serving and gain by giving’.
