Panelists' Information (in alphabetic order of first names): 

Dr. Nickey Woods is the Dean of Students and Associate Dean for Student Affairs, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the USC Gould School of Law. Her framework for maximizing the impact of DEI initiatives focuses on three interconnected areas: 1) knowledge and skill development, 2) community, culture, and climate, and 3) assessment, planning, and evaluation. Her professional expertise includes diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, learning and motivation, and disability advocacy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at UCLA, where she was an honor roll, all-conference member of the women's basketball team. She earned a master's degree in education with an emphasis on cross-cultural teaching at National University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership (Educational Psychology concentration) at the USC Rossier School of Education.

 

Dr. Robin Scholefield is the Director of Culture, Well-being and Sport Psychology for USC Athletics. She is the Associate Director, Student Counseling Services, and Professor, Department of Psychiatry, KECK School of Medicine. For the past 25 years she has overseen counseling, performance enhancement, and team services. She is the Chair of the Pac 12 Mental Health Task Force. She has a Ph.D. and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Alliant University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Southern California. She won a Bronze Medal in the 4x100 Medley Relay at the 1976 Olympic Games.

 

Sam Adams was named Deputy Chief of Staff in August 2020, working in the Athletic Director's Office. Sam began her USC Athletics career in 2016 as an account executive. She later worked for Legends at USC, first as a premium account executive for a year (2017-18) and then as a senior premium account executive for 2 years (2018-19). She became Director of Development for the Trojan Athletic Fund in November 2019. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and French in 2016 from USC, where she was on the diving team.

 

Founded in 1979 to empower women employed at the University of Southern California (USC), USC Women in Management (WIM) provide a mechanism for communication, professional development, and enhancement of career opportunities for women at USC.
