RSVP: Dean's Dialogue: A Conversation with Ambassador Katherine Tai (May 5) (jotform.com)
In celebration of national Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, we are honored to welcome Ambassador Katherine Tai, the 19th United States Trade Representative, to the USC campus on May 5th at 9am. As a member of President Biden’s Cabinet, Ambassador Tai is the principal trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on U.S. trade policy.
Ambassador Tai will deliver a major speech focused on the Biden-Harris Administration’s partnership with AA and NHPI communities across the country to build a freer and fairer future for all, as well as highlight the strength and resilience that AA and NHPI communities have demonstrated over generations. Ambassador Tai will also reflect on her personal journey towards becoming the first Asian American U.S. Trade Representative and the only member of President Biden’s Cabinet to receive unanimous Senate confirmation.
Following her speech, Ambassador Tai will engage in conversation with USC Marshall Dean Geoff Garrett about her career in public service, international economic diplomacy, and as an experienced World Trade Organization (WTO) litigator. She is fluent in Mandarin.
