Institute for Outlier Research in Business (iORB) and the Leventhal School of Accounting will be hosting its first Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Spring of 2023. The Distinguished Visitor will be Professor George Serafeim, the Charles M. Williams Professor of Business Administration of Harvard University. Professor Serafeim’s research focuses on corporate sustainability and the impact of environmental, social, and government (ESG ) issues on investing. 

Professor Serafeim will be visiting February 27, 2023, to March 3, 2023. He will be participating in several activities, including one-on-one meetings with Faculty and PhD Students, two research presentations, one workshop, and various social engagements. 

The general presentation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 1:30 pm (Location to be determined), which will be related to Professor Serafim’s latest book Purpose+Profit: How Business Can Lift up the World. The book is applicable to a wide audience, which includes those who would like to understand why the role of business in global society is increasing and the option that we all have to make a difference as entrepreneurs, investors, managers and employees.
