Join in a conversation with Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO, Andrei Iancu, to discuss the current priorities of the USPTO. Director Iancu will engage with the next generation of lawyers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to discuss the USPTO’s national strategy of diversity entrepreneurship to promote and increase the participation of underrepresented groups. Director Iancu will also discuss what the USPTO is doing to encourage students, lawyers, and innovators to participate in the innovation ecosystem.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Professors Laura Pedraza-Fariña (Northwestern Pritzker School of Law) and James Conley (Northwestern Kellogg School of Management). Introductory remarks will be provided by Professor David Schwartz (Northwestern Pritzker School of Law).
