Decades ago, we began a debate on whether media has a responsibility to society. Today, most agree that not only does Hollywood have a responsibility, but they also have an opportunity to play a pivotal role in social and environmental progress. From narratives that can influence ideas and movements—like Barbie—to best practices enforced during movie production, this panel will examine how film can do much more than entertain us—as both a product and an industry.
