The Levan Institute for the Humanities and Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences invite faculty in the humanities and humanistic social sciences to a weekly series of conversations about online teaching, for faculty, by faculty. Workshops will take place on Fridays July 17, 24, 31, and August 7 from 3pm-4pm.

These workshops will bring together faculty across the Humanities to share ideas, raise questions and solve problems together. We believe that the best experts on teaching are the professors. We will be happy to find experts where relevant, but we have much to learn from each other.

Each workshop will begin with a short introduction/question section. We will then break into small working groups of no more than four people. At the end, each group will report one valuable idea or project that came out of their workshop and we will have a closing discussion. We will share links, resources, and materials that you are interested in distributing. There will never be homework, no certificates or assessments, but there will be opportunities to share your materials as you work on them, and to risk looking foolish in front of other people who are also sailing into uncharted waters.
