Come join us for the next great event in the History Department’s Film Series:
The Battle of Algiers (1966)
Widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, Gillo Pontecorvo’s award winning reconstruction of conflicts during the Algerian War of Independence is a must see for all historians!
While w can’t gather together on campus or have the fantastic food that we’ve enjoyed with films in the past, we welcome members of the department’s commnity to gather virtually, to watch the film together — maybe over a meal of your own choice (and making) — and to hang out afterwards for an informal discussion of this intensely stimulating and moving film.
Please email Jason Glenn ( or Edgardo Perez Morales ( if you have any questions or suggestions for future films!
