USC's Department of English is home to two PhD programs - one in Literature and one in Creative Writing and Literature. The Literature track trains students in English, American and Anglophone literary cultures, criticisms, and therory, Stuents in the Creative Writing and Literature track take a series of writing workshops, taught by our internationally renowned creative writing faculty, and graduate literature seminars with their classmates in the Literature track.
