Join us in celebrating the arts and culture of Hawai’i! Learn the art of lei making, enjoy interactive Hula performances, storytime, a special object viewing of tapa from our permanent collection, and explore a historical timeline of the history of Hawai’i created by the USC Hawai’i Club.
This event is FREE, includes admission to all the galleries, and open to all ages.

1:00 PM - Spotlight Talk: Necklace (Lei Niho Palaoa)
1:30 PM - Object Viewing of tapa with Dr. Rebecca Hall, USC PAM’s curator and Melodie Turori, a Māori Kūki ‘Āirani artist and educator based in San Diego and descended from the peoples of Aitutaki, Pukapuka, Sweden, and Germany
3:00 PM - Performance by Hālau Hula Keali'i o Nālani
3:30 PM - Spotlight Talk: Necklace (Lei Niho Palaoa)
Space is limited for the performances and object viewing. Sign-ups are the day of the event on a first come, first served basis.
