Join us for our fourth annual celebration of the Silk Road! This year we are highlighting the importance of food and spice trade along the ancient route. Enjoy creating your own food sculpture, learn to paint with spices, experience traditional Chinese dance and music, hear stories, and learn about the history of tea on the Silk Road in a special tasting workshop. Make new discoveries in our Crossroads: Exploring the Silk Road Gallery and don’t miss your chance to see the special exhibition, Cai Guo-Qiang: A Material Odyssey.
Free admission all day for all ages!

11:00 am - 3:00 pm - Food Sculpture with Barnsdall Arts
11:00 am - 3:00 pm - Painting with Spices
12:00 pm - Storytime
12:30 pm - Performance by USC Traditional Chinese Dance and USC Eastern Chamber Music Club
1:30 pm - Tea Workshop with Callisto Tea House
2:30 pm - Spotlight Talk with USC Museums Student Educators
Timed tickets required for entrance into the exhibition. 60 minute time slots offered. Reservations are highly recommended.
Limited same-day tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
A ticket to Cai: Guo-Qiang: A Material Odyssey includes access to all galleries and activities. Your ticket gives you access to enter the exhibition at your reserved time, but you may enter the museum for activities prior to your reserved time.
