If you’ve ever been told that your writing is choppy or hard to follow, this workshop is for you! Whether you are a native speaker or an English learner, you can dramatically improve the readability of your work by mastering these four strategies. Feel free to bring examples of your own writing to analyze.

This workshop is part of International Education Week and will be led by American Langauge Institute professor, Mary Ann Murphy.  To register for this workshop, click here.

Professor Murphy has a Bachelor’s degree in French and History from the University of Tennessee, and a Master’s degree from UCLA in Teaching English as a Second Language.  Besides regularly teaching at USC's American Langauge Institute, and most notably helping international PhD students write their dissertations and other publications, Prof. Murphy has also taught English as a Second Language for UCLA and other universities, and has extensive experience in curriculum and materials development.
