About this Event
3550 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90089
The talk explores how consistent practice within a structured martial arts tradition cultivates habits and attitudes that extend far beyond the practice hall. In addition to physical fitness, sustained training fosters emotional balance, resilience, and the ability to confront challenges in everyday life. This presentation examines the lifelong experience of a traditional karate teacher whose disciplined training transformed him from an undisciplined youth into the head of a worldwide karate organization. Through this example, we will explore how long-term commitment to structured training can promote clarity of mind, self-discipline, confidence, and a deeper sense of purpose and life satisfaction. Participants will be given an opportunity to observe a demonstration by a master and to try out basic karate exercises themselves.
