Field Research in Maya Archaeology is a summer study abroad program (June 16th to July 10th) that focuses on the incredible culture and history of the ancient Maya where you will embark on an extraordinary adventure by excavating 1,200-year-old ruins, engaging with an interdisciplinary team of experts, working with others who share your sense of adventure, and living in a pristine rainforest environment host to all manner of jungle wildlife. You do not need to be a major to apply and the only pre-requisite is that you're up for something truly wild and amazing.
In this event, Dr. Eric Heller, the expedition leader, will cover the basics of this summer program including what to expect from fieldwork and jungle life, how to prepare, the application process, and grant/fellowship opportunities. Please feel free to RSVP or inquire to erichell@usc.edu or simply show up!
