Only half of eligible millennials cast their vote in the 2016 presidential election, and in the last midterm election less than a quarter showed up to the polls. But, if they turn up in record numbers on Nov. 6, they have the power to shape the course of our political future. Will they flex their muscle at the polls?
Join VoteSC’s student co-founders for a live-streamed conversation on Facebook about the youth vote, including practical tips to get first-time voters ready for the polls on Nov. 6. Bring your questions.
Robert Shrum, director of USC Dornsife’s Center for the Political Future, will lead the conversation with USC students and VoteSC founders Briana Miles (law, history and culture), Alec Vandenberg (public policy) and Eleanora Viotto (political science and communications).
VoteSC is an initiative spearheaded by the USC Undergraduate Student Government (USG), the USC Political Student Assembly (PSA), and the Unruh Institute of Politics to encourage students to register to vote.
