An opening reception along with celebratory events for Exile: Experience and Testimony, a joint exhibition between the USC Libraries and the German National Library’s “German Exile Archive 1933–1945.” In the years leading up to World War II, thousands of German intellectuals fled the country to escape the Nazi regime.

The USC Libraries and the German National Library will have on display in Doheny Library’s ground-floor rotunda materials documenting the many challenges and different paths into exile of those fleeing Nazi Europe.
