Age of Revolutions:

Fidel Tavarez (CUNY/Queens), Precirculated paper TBA - In English

Welcome to a new year of the Age of Revolutions E-Seminar, organized by Nathan Perl-Rosenthal and Clément Thibaud and sponsored by the University of Southern California’s Early Modern Studies Institute and the Ecole des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. We began this meeting last year, as a way to foster intellectual community among scholars of the revolutionary Atlantic world, and are continuing it this year to build on the momentum and exciting exchanges we had last year. Our theme this year, loosely defined, is political economy and revolution.  The year’s seminar will culminate with an in-person meeting in Los Angeles in May 2022.  Stay tuned for details.

This year, we have planned seminars in several languages. Certain seminars are being given in English, French, or Spanish. As always, comments are welcomed in any of these languages and Portuguese.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
