The USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute's 2025 Distinguished Lecturers are Katharine Park, Samuel Zemurray, Jr. and Doris Zemurray Stone Radcliffe Research Professor of the History of Science, Emeritus, at Harvard University, and Lorraine Daston, Director emerita of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, and regular visiting professor in the Committee on Social Thought and History at University of Chicago. Professors Park and Daston are historians of science, with expertise in the early modern period. In addition to their many individual publications, they co-wrote Wonders and the Order of Nature 1150-1750 (Princeton University Press, 1998). 

 

On Friday morning, Professors Daston and Park will lead a Master Class at the Huntington Library. RSVP by April 4 to attend.
