https://dornsife.usc.edu/emsi/history-of-science-medicine-and-technology/The USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute History of Science, Medicine, and Technology Seminar will host "Resources for Crafting Knowledge: A Hands-On Collections-Based Workshop on Art and Science" at the Huntington Library on Tuesday, November 19. This workshop will be led by Paula Findlen, Ubaldo Pierotti Professor of Italian History at Stanford University, and Pamela H. Smith, Seth Low Professor of History at Columbia University. Professors Findlen and Smith both specialize in early modern European history and the history of science. In addition to their numerous individual publications, Findlen and Smith co-wrote Merchants and Marvels: Commerce, Science, and Art in Early Modern Europe (Routledge, 2002).
