Professor Stuart is a social and cultural historian of early modern Germany. Her research focuses on crime, deviance, and marginality. Her EMSI seminar paper title is "The Devil's Bath: Suicide by Proxy and the History of Emotions in Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century Germany."
All EMSI events are free and open to the public.
