Professor Bartoszyńska specializes in the political economy of colonial North America, the early American republic, and the Atlantic World. Her American Origins paper draws upon research for her current book project, The American Lawsuit: Civil Litigation from the Revolution to Tocqueville. Her EMSI seminar paper title is "How to Sue a Missouri Gambler: Civil Lawsuits in the Federal Territories, 1805-1819."
