Wildfires and Mental Health
Dr. Mishra is the co-director of University of California Climate Change & Mental Health Initiative. She has studied the lasting impacts of climate change exacerbated wildfires on mental health and cognition. Her lab was the first to show impacts on underlying brain function, now commonly referred to as the fire brain. She will discuss these important findings as well as how our communities can become resilient in the aftermath of wildfires and in preparation for future climate disasters.
