 es Douglas Brinkley\, Spring 2024 CPF Fellow and environmentalist\, as wel
 l as Alice Waters\, culinary author and chef. This conversation will explo
 re the intersections of food security\, access to healthy food\, and the i
 mportance of organic farming practices in the pursuit of a better food sys
 tem.\n\n \n\nDouglas Brinkley is currently a Spring 2024 Fellow at the USC
  Center for the Political Future. He serves as Katherine Tsanoff Brown Cha
 ir in Humanities at Rice University\, where he teaches history. His impact
 ful contributions in environmental leadership have earned him accolades\; 
 six of his nonfiction books were honored as “Notable Book of the Year”
  by the New York Times.  \n\n \n\nAlice Waters is a chef\, restaurateur\, 
 and author. Her restaurant Chez Panisse\, located in Berkeley\, California
 \, drove the farm-to-fork movement and pioneered California cuisine. Water
 s is a national public policy advocate for accessible healthy\, organic fo
 ods. Her role in food policy influenced Michelle Obama’s White House org
