About this Event
665 Childs Way Los Angeles, California
George Washington established the Department of the Treasury by signing it into law in 1789 and the Federal Reserve was established 124 years later. Today, America’s financial institutions remain central to the success of our economic future. Join Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Raphael W. Bostic and USC Price Professor Dr. David Sloane for a discussion of a range of economic issues, including the role of the Federal Reserve. Dr. Bostic will discuss the state of the economy and the labor market, and his views on leadership—both his own, and the leadership of our country’s economic future.
USC Price Dean and distinguished professor of public policy, pharmacy, and economics Dr. Dana Goldman will provide welcome remarks followed by a contextual discussion of George Washington's financial revolution by Dr. Douglas Bradburn, President and Chief Executive Officer of George Washington’s Mount Vernon.
This event is brought to you by the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington.
