ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Ripe Rotting and Idle explores what it means to place the artist's body within large-scale figure and landscape paintings. Historically, such artworks have separated white male bodies from nature, helping naturalize the destruction of our environment. The artist uses these styles to reimagine masculinity and emphasize the fluidity of bodies and the importance of kinship with the natural world.
