 urrent USC students only. Space is limited and advance registration is requ
 ired. Check-in for the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. on campus. Students w
 ill travel together on the Metro E Line to Gloria Molina Grand Park and ret
 urn to campus at 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided during the tour.\n\nJOIN 
 WAITLIST\n\nUSC Students will need a Metro TAP card to participate. Student
 s can sign up for the USC U-Pass Program at transnet.usc.edu.\n\nDESCRIPTIO
 N:\nExperience the vibrant tradition and learn the significance of Día de L
 os Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Downtown Día De Los Muertos at Gloria Molin
 a Grand Park. The two-week exhibition is a community-oriented space that in
 vites park-goers to stroll through 20 altars made by professional artists a
 nd local organizations led by long-time multimedia artist\, educator\, and 
 curator Consuelo G. Flores.\n\nUSC students will join Flores for a private 
 tour of the stunning altars\, which honor people\, places\, and ideas and u
 niquely reflect Los Angeles\, and contribute to a community altar. Addition
 ally\, Flores will lead students in a Día de Los Muertos–themed art-making

 e los Muertos in 2023.\n\nBio:\n\nBorn and raised in East Los Angeles\, Con
 suelo G. Flores is a renowned altarista and culture bearer\, a council memb
 er of the Eastside Arts Initiative\, and an adjunct professor at Antioch Un
 iversity. She has created Day of the Dead altars at Gloria Molina Grand Par
 k since 2012 and curated altar installations there from 2022–2024\, includi
 ng designing and creating Community Ofrendas. Flores has curated several im
 portant exhibitions\, including one dedicated to the work and legacy of Jos
 é Guadalupe Posada and several Day of the Dead collections\, and is also a 
 published poet and produced playwright.\n\nPresented by Visions and Voices.
