The members of Desk Lamp, guitarists Daniel Flores and Manuel Martinez, bassist Jacob Evans, and drummer Max Bleefeld, met while attending the USC Thornton School of Music. Over a meal at McDonald’s, the four realized they were a perfect fit for each other and formed the alternative rock band, quickly gaining a cult following at USC and touring on their self-titled debut EP. Although the band’s influences include Van Halen, The Beach Boys, blink-182, and The 1975, their show is most often described as “LOUD and FUN.”
