  rat is an established model for pre-clinical evaluation of bone graft sub
 stitutes in spine surgery. In this seminar\, the findings of our experimen
 ts with cellular and acellular bone matrices will be presented\, along wit
 h the implications of micro-CT findings in understanding the bone formatio
 n capacity of different graft substitutes. In light of these findings\, fu
