About this Event
Collaborate with students from 20 universities around the world in a mock online UN Climate Change Conference. “Delegations” will negotiate with each other and make pledges on carbon emissions and reforestation using a simulation model developed by MIT & the Climate Interactive. Hear from world-renowned speakers & interact with experts in small group discussions on topics such as reforestation, oceans, clean energy, trading & offsets, climate refugees, carbon emissions & more. 10 USC students will be chosen for this free, non-credit course. Requires three live online negotiation/simulation sessions and 6-8 hours of asynchronous individual & group work. Cert. of participation provided.
Dates are April 11, 18 and 25 from 6-8:30pm pacific, plus 6-8 hours of outside individual and group work.
