DESCRIPTION:
In partnership with The Miracle Project, the Keck School of Medicine at USC, the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and Arts in Action invite you to attend an enlightening panel about dance and Autism. Doctors, dance instructors, and dancers will discuss the intersection of dance, health, and ability, with a focus on theater and dance and Autism, and the transformative power of dance as a vehicle for self-expression, physical well-being, and inclusive social engagement.

Prior the conversation, USC Kaufman students enrolled in DANC 140: Dancing and Autism will lead a demonstration bridging theory with practical application, showing the dynamic synergy between dance and ability and the benefits of incorporating dance into the lives of individuals with diverse abilities, with a special focus on people with Autism.
