Michael Martinez: Executive Director, LA Compost

Michael Martinez is a certified Master Gardener, a former elementary school teacher, and the Founder and Executive Director of LA Compost. His program oversees 30 compost hubs across Los Angeles in partnership with existing communities, nonprofits and a growing network of composters and stakeholders to develop social and physical infrastructure needed for cohesive composting in LA County. Learn about the work of LA Compost and the journey of founder Michael Martinez to grow the program into what it is today.
