Abstract: Haglund-Haiman-Loehr gave formulas for Macdonald
polynomials as sums over nonattacking fillings (of boxes) counted with statistics (arm, leg, maj and coinv). The goal of this work is to try to make the Haglund-Haiman-Loehr statistics “fall out" of an analysis of reduced words for periodic permutations.
At the root of this relationship is the intertwiner construction
of the (nonsymmetric) Macdonald polynomials.
