This POSC 395 professional development event is on Friday, February 13 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm virtually via Zoom. The event is open to all students. Students enrolled in POSC 395 must attend at least two professional development events throughout the semester.

Join us for a Coffee Talk with Teya Hisel, Senior Research Associate at Daley Strategies and former Policy Manager for Downtown Women's Center. Teya has spent her career working on a wide range of advocacy in federal, state, and local governments, focused on housing, homelessness, and supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
Teya previously worked on housing advocacy at United Way of Greater Los Angeles and within her student community at the University of Southern California, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts. Originally from Seattle, Teya currently resides in Chicago, where she is pursuing a Masters in Social Work while working on advocacy for youth in the foster system.
