This POSC 395 professional development event is on Wednesday, April 29th, from 12 to 1 pm in the CPF office (SOS B15). The event is open to all students. Students enrolled in POSC 395 must attend at least two professional development events throughout the semester. 

Ron Galperin is known for taking on challenges and finding new and creative solutions. Los Angeles voters elected Galperin in 2013, and again in 2017, as Controller, Chief Financial Officer and independent watchdog for our nation’s second biggest city. He is experienced in bringing leadership, innovation, measurable results and management to complex budgets, organizations and initiatives. Prior to serving in elected office, Galperin built a reputation as a leading voice for innovation in government and in the nonprofit sector. He led several L.A. City and County commissions and has served on the boards of various community and non-profit organizations.
