This POSC 395 professional development event is on Thursday, February 20th at 10:00 am in our office in SOS B15. POSC 395 students must attend at least two professional development events throughout the semester.

Join us for a coffee talk with Christina Pascucci, the founder of Atlas, a prominent media and political consulting firm. Her firm helps mission-driven leaders, companies, and organizations maximize their impact, build influence, and shape the future. Christina, also an Emmy-winning journalist and former U.S. Senate candidate, has spent her career on the frontlines of history, traveling to 110+ countries across all 7 continents to uncover truth, shape policy, and drive change. Her passion for highlighting critical issues has taken her diving with great whites to expose shark finning, trekking the Cambodian jungle to fight child trafficking, and interviewing world leaders— from the Dalai Lama to President Trump. President Remengesau of Palau appointed her Goodwill Ambassador to his country.

Beyond journalism, Christina has been a champion for policy change—helping pass bipartisan legislation to support foster youth and homeless families in California. She has served as Los Angeles County Aviation Commissioner, working on planning and budgeting for regional airports, and was previously Chair of the Commission. As a humanitarian and leader, Christina has been deployed with the California National Guard, leading media operations to enhance public trust and transparency in high-stakes environments. She has led medical missions into war zones, ensuring children in conflict zones receive life-saving care.
