Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN), Alumni Plaza (Patio) and Sheindlin Forum (106)

Join us for the 2nd annual Charlotta Bass Media Trailblazer Speaker Series at USC. This year’s honoree is the award-winning artist, actor, author, and activist Common. In his new book, And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Self, Common draws on his own experience of pursuing wellness as a crucial element of his success. The Charlotta Bass Journalism and Justice Lab – USC’s first Black media studies center – salutes Common’s messages of health, hope and healing. The conversation will be moderated by USC Annenberg associate professor, Bass Lab founder and award-winning author Allissa V. Richardson, and will be introduced by Vice Provost for the Arts Josh Kun. Admission is free. RSVP here

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
