Each semester, the Center for Excellence in Research in the Office of Research organizes workshops for USC researchers. These courses are designed to provide faculty and postdocs across all fields of study with specialized skills and knowledge in seeking funding from government, foundation, and corporate organizations as well as a variety of other topics.

The NIH's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are one of the largest sources of early-stage capital for technology commercialization in the United States. Come learn from Stephanie Fertig (Director, NINDS Small Business Programs, NIH Office of Extramural Research), Robert Vinson (Program Manager, SBIR/STTR Program, NIH Office of Extramural Research) and Michael Arciero (Director of Licensing, USC Stevens Center for Innovation) how you can translate promising technologies to the private sector and enable life-saving innovations to reach consumer markets.
