https://ifacs.com/Catholicism has been both a source of inspiration and subject matter in film for years. Movies have viewed Catholicism through many different cinematic and emotional lenses throughout the medium’s history. Fr. Greg Vance, S.J., will explore the many deep truths and stereotypes in the portrayal of Catholic spirituality in movies. Through various film clips, Fr. Vance will examine just how closely faith and popular media are actually related. Fr. Vance has degrees in English and philosophy from Gonzaga University, theology from Weston Jesuit School of Theology and educational leadership from the University of Montana.
