Abstract: Zigzag algebras have been around for many years, they appear in various places in modern mathematics and seems to play an important role for finding connections between different fields. The purpose of this talk is to “nail down” some properties of zigzag algebras which make them special; allowing us to generalize them towards higher ranks. This is joint work with Michael Ehrig, Marco Mackaay, Volodymyr Mazorchuk and Vanessa Miemietz.
