Join us for this November’s Warschaw Lecture Series examining “The Influence of Jewish Values and Faith in American Public Life,” bringing together perspectives that highlight how faith traditions inform public service, policy, and civic life.

This discussion will feature United States Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) and will be moderated by Bob Shrum, Director of the USC Center for the Political Future; Carmen & Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics.

Launched in the Spring of 1999, the Carmen and Louis Warschaw Distinguished Lecture Series was created to examine the relationship between Jews and politics. Established through the vision and generosity of Carmen and Louis Warschaw, the series reflects their enduring commitment as philanthropists and community leaders whose influence continues to shape Southern California’s political and civic life.

Panelists:

• Bob Shrum (Moderator): Bob Shrum is the Director of the Center for the Political Future and the Carmen H. and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics at USC Dornsife. A legendary political Democratic strategist, he was once described as “the most sought-after consultant in the Democratic Party,” by The Atlantic Monthly.
• Adam Schiff: Adam Schiff was elected in 2024 as California’s junior U.S. Senator. He sits on several committees, including both the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Agriculture and Environment & Public Works Committee. He is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Intellectual Property and also serves on subcommittees covering the Constitution, privacy, antitrust, environmental policy, water resources and biotechnology. From 2001 to 2025, Schiff represented Los Angeles in the U.S. House, where he chaired the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and served on Judiciary, Foreign Affairs and Appropriations Committees.
