In this rare opportunity to step into a USC classroom, join Institute Deputy Director, Dr. Shushan Karapetian, and her students in the MDA 330 - Armenian Heritage: History, Arts, & Culture course for a special set of visually enriching talks on Armenian letter culture, calligraphy, and design. Ruben Malayan, an award-winning art director, calligrapher, and visual artist, who teaches Visual Communication at the American University of Armenia, will be guest lecturing.

The second, on Thursday, April 8, 2-3:20pm PT, will explore the role design and letter culture play in changing mind-sets during cataclysmic events taking place in Armenia during the last few years, including the revolution, pandemic, and war.
