The USC Center for the Political Future and the USC Schwarzenegger Institute invite you to a timely conversation on the past, present, and future of US-UK relations on Tuesday, February 10 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Ralph & Goldy Lewis Hall, Room 101. This discussion features James Cleverly, former UK Secretary of State for the Home Department, and Bob Shrum, Director of the USC Center for the Political Future. Drawing on experience at the highest levels of government and political strategy, the discussion will explore how leadership transitions, elections, and global crises shape cooperation between Washington and London, and what the next chapter of this transatlantic relationship may hold.

At a moment of global political realignment, the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom is being tested and redefined. From global security and the future of NATO to trade, democracy, and domestic political polarization, the stakes of the US-UK alliance have rarely been higher. As both countries confront mounting international challenges alongside shifting political landscapes at home, critical questions emerge about whether this historic partnership is adapting to new pressures, and what lies ahead.
