He previously served as the Los Angeles bureau chief, and was the chief national political correspondent for eight years. His new book examines four decades of the newspaper’s history from the final years of Arthur Sulzberger’s reign as publisher to the election of Donald Trump in 2016, recounting its greatest triumphs and failures.
Bob Shrum is the Director of the Center for the Political Future and the Carmen H. and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics at USC Dornsife. A legendary political strategis, he was once described as “the most sought-after consultant in the Democratic Party,” by The Atlantic Monthly.
