About this Event
823-29 Exposition Boulevard, Room 100, Los Angeles, CA 90089
This two day "visitation" will feature a small representative group of Blacklips Performance Cult, a queer performance troupe that acted out over 120 self-produced plays—many expressing a strong ecofeminist, queer, and anticapitalist ethic—in and around New York's Pyramid Club in the early 1990s. Together the participants in this program will explore what it meant to perform gender (differently) at the time of the group's emergence, and now, in the 2020s.
