Join from anywhere, earn SHRM credits, and learn to champion men’s mental health

This interactive session explores the often-overlooked mental health challenges faced by men and the cultural norms that contribute to their silence. Participants will examine gendered expectations, recognize early signs of distress unique to men, and identify systemic barriers that prevent help-seeking. Through dialogue and reflection, attendees will learn practical strategies for promoting emotional wellness and fostering environments where vulnerability and support are normalized. This session equips leaders and professionals with tools to actively support men’s mental health in their organizations and communities.

Key Topics Covered

  • Understand why male employees under-report distress
  • Spot early warning signs
  • Break the “man-up” stigma in meetings and 1-on-1s
  • Deploy quick, evidence-based support tools

This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the university’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation or any other prohibited factor.
