About the Speakers

Attorney Gary DiMuzio is a partner in the Asbestos Department at Simmons Hanly Conroy. He has extensive experience litigating cases involving mesothelioma and other environmental and workplace hazards. Gary has litigated hundreds of cases against some of the nation’s largest corporations.

Steven Markowitz, MD, DrPH, is an occupational medicine physician and Professor and Director of the Barry Commoner Center for Health and the Environment (BCCHE) at Queens College, CUNY. He has studied asbestos-related diseases, including mortality among North American insulators. Dr. Markowitz has testified as an expert witness in tort cases involving asbestos-related diseases.
